Update on the School's COVID-19 Operations

Dear Families, Faculty, and Staff:

I hope this message finds you all well and that you are comfortably adjusting to the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic has required across all aspects of our society.

Due to the above-referenced adjustments, the Invictus High School System has established a full reopening plan entitled Responsible Restart for the 2020/2021 academic year.  The plan can be viewed by clicking here or visiting InvictusHigh.org > About Us > Responsible Restart.

The school is in the process of fulfilling this plan in full, including the installation of barriers and making infrastructure changes described in the plan, a process that will take an estimated 3-4 weeks

As the Invictus High School Reopening Committee and the school’s Senior Leadership Team have reviewed the Responsible Restart plan, analyzed local and state COVID-19 data trends, and had a robust discussion regarding the safety and wellness of our community, the school has decided to remain in a remote learning environment through 19 January 2021.  This means that students will remain in phase one of the plan and continue to report remotely through the end of the calendar year.  This will allow students the continuity of their new normal until we begin phasing students into the building via phases three and four under the Responsible Restart guide.

I know that this decision and these changes may cause additional questions and concerns.  Rest assured that the school is dedicated to a safe and flexible return.  If students have specific questions, they may share them with their homeroom teacher, who can help obtain answers as needed.  Faculty and staff should direct specific concerns with their campus directors.

As always, if I may be of additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Cordially,

Chauncey J. Jackson,

Executive Director & CEO
